Open Learning Activities

Open learning activities are now available for Grades 4-7 in our District Canvas Courses. They are designed to be flexible and a starting point for further activities. The courses are organized into units of study by subject area. Each unit is contained in a Module.

Navigating Canvas Lesson Modules

Modules are made up of Lesson pages. Click on the name of a lesson to open the page.

Navigating Lesson Pages

On a lesson page, use the arrow next to the “Table of Contents” at the top of the page to move through the lessons. You can also click on the Table of Contents to open a drop-down menu so you can jump to a specific lesson item.

DO NOT use the “Previous” and “Next” buttons at the bottom of the page. This will move you to the previous or next item in the Unit Module, and not the next part of your Lesson.

A list of activities are available by grade. They are designed to be flexible and a starting point for further activities. Activities may have options to use the internet, but most can be accomplished without having to be online. Please have parents support you with activities as required
